GOC erases Norwich based dispensing optician
The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to erase Jeremy Simeons, a dispensing optician based in Norwich, from its register.
A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to him being convicted of sexual assault of a child under the age of 13, contrary to section 7(1) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
Mr Simeons has not lodged an appeal against the decision and is now erased from the Register.
