GOC suspends Bromley based dispensing optician

The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to suspend Tracy Dermott, a dispensing optician based in Bromley, from its register for three months.

A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found her fitness to practise impaired by reason of a misconduct, caution and conviction. This is in relation to her receiving a caution for common assault and a conviction for drink driving, and her failure to declare the conviction when applying to retain registration.

Ms Tracy Dermott had until 23 September 2020 to appeal her suspension.
