GOC suspends Stourbridge based student optometrist
The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to suspend Zarcur Dard, a student optometrist based in Stourbridge, from its register for seven months.
A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to undertake training is impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to falsifying several patients’ records.
Mr Dard has until 20 June 2022 to appeal his suspension.
