GOC suspends Taunton based dispensing optician
The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to suspend Frederick Kimsey, a dispensing optician based in Taunton, from its register for two months.
A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to obtaining a pair of spectacles for a customer and friend without payment from the store he worked in.
Mr Kimsey has until 4 August 2022 to appeal his suspension.
