GOC suspends Birmingham based optometrist from register

The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to suspend Mohammed Zada, an optometrist based in Birmingham, from its register for six months.

A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to falsifying his GP’s signature on an adult health form.

Mr Zada has until 23 June 2023 to appeal against his suspension.
