GOC suspends Littlehampton based optometrist from register

The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to suspend Rishi Patel, an optometrist based in Littlehampton, from its register for three months. 

A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to dishonest and misleading actions relating to retrospectively amending a patient’s record.

Mr Patel has until 18 December 2023 to appeal against his suspension.
