Message from Dr Anne Wright CBE, new GOC Chair

Today is my first day as the new Chair of the GOC and I am excited to begin working with GOC staff, fellow Council members and the wider sector. Last week I attended my first Council meeting which I found to be extremely insightful, and I’m glad I was given the opportunity to do so before beginning my appointment.

I’m joining the GOC at an exhilarating time, with many transformative projects happening across the organisation, from the recently approved new education and training requirements and new Continuing Professional Development model to the Speaking Up guidance consultation just to name a few.

I look forward to being able to play a role in these influential pieces of work to ensure we continue to protect the public and deliver on our strategic objectives of being recognised for delivering world-class regulation and excellent customer service.
