New 2022-23 Business Plan published

We’ve published our 2022-23 Business Plan and Budget, setting out an ambitious line-up of work programmes and investment for the year ahead.

Each work programme is aligned to one of the three strategic objectives outlined in our five-year strategic plan for 2020-25, ‘Fit for the Future:’

  • Delivering world-class regulatory practice;
  • Transforming customer service;
  • Building a culture of continuous improvement.

Highlights

This year, we will continue to work with sector bodies, universities and education providers to implement the broadscale changes to the qualifications we approve, as part of our Education Strategic Review. We will also support registrants with our new Continuing Professional Development scheme, launched in January 2022.

After recent success in reducing the fitness to practise (FtP) caseload, we have started work on developing a new case management system to further improve  case timescales. We will continue to publish our FtP FOCUS learning bulletins to better registrants’ understanding of the FtP process.

Elsewhere, we plan to revitalize our approach to communications through reviewing our communications strategy and launching revised corporate branding. We also aim to accelerate investment in our IT capability, develop a People Plan and implement our new customer care and engagement strategy.
