Summary

This document provides guidance on how to make a declaration and the principles and processes by which we consider an applications with declarations.

It is aimed at:

• Those applying to the General Optical Council (GOC) for registration, or considering the making of an application (‘an applicant’); and
• Those currently registered with the GOC, who are making an application for retention of registration (‘a registrant’).
