The principles outline a clear set of expectations for all UK healthcare professionals when prescribing remotely, whether online, over video-link or by phone.

They reinforce our Standards for Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians and the Standards for Optical Businesses. This information is not clinical guidance or new guidance from regulatory bodies. These principles have been endorsed by a range of healthcare regulators and organisations.
