17. Do not damage the reputation of your profession through your conduct

  1. Ensure your conduct, whether or not connected to your professional practice, does not damage public confidence in you or your profession.
  2. Ensure your conduct in the online environment, particularly in relation to social media, whether or not connected to your professional practice, does not damage public confidence in you or your profession.
  3. Be aware of and comply with the law and regulations that affect your practice, and all the requirements of the General Optical Council.
