5. Recognise, and work within, your limits of competence

Recognise the limits of your scope of training including your knowledge, skills and experience.
Be able to identify when you need to refer to your tutor or supervisor for further advice and guidance.
Understand and comply with the requirements of student registration with the General Optical Council and the legal obligations of undertaking any restricted functions.
