GOC erases Stafford based student dispensing optician from register 

The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to erase Jack Harding, a student dispensing optician based in Stafford, from its register.  

A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to using supervisors’ signatures on one of more of his pre-qualification documents without their permission. The Committee found these actions to be misleading and dishonest.  

Mr Harding has until 11 December 2025 to appeal against his erasure.
