GOC suspends Stoke Poges-based optometrist from register
The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to suspend Jaspal Sihra, an optometrist based in Stoke Poges, from its register for two months.
A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired on public interest grounds. This is in relation to dishonestly falsifying patient records relating to repeat visual field tests for two patients.
Mr Sihra has until 24 July 2026 to appeal against his suspension.
