GOC erases Ashford based dispensing optician from register
The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to erase Suzy Stonehouse, a dispensing optician based in Ashford, from its register.
A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found her fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to fraudulently processing several refunds on to her personal payment cards. The Committee found these actions to be dishonest.
Ms Stonehouse has until 10 March 2026 to appeal against her erasure, during which time she is under an immediate suspension order.
