GOC erases Nottingham based optometrist from register
The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to erase Ravi Bhojwani, an optometrist based in Nottingham, from its register.
A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to repeated failure to carry out full and/or adequate eye examinations and to make patient referrals. The Committee made its decision to erasure Mr Bhojwani at a review of his previous 12 month suspension order, where it found Mr Bhojwani had not made effort to remediate his previous misconduct.
Mr Bhojwani’s erasure will commence on 19 September 2026, after his current suspension expires.
