GOC co-signs letter on the importance of vaccinations

We want to thank our registrants for the huge efforts they have made to provide the best patient care possible during the pandemic.

We know that most of our registrants are already vaccinated against COVID-19 and that, by being vaccinated, they are protecting themselves, colleagues and patients, especially those most at risk of COVID-19.

We have co-signed a letter to optometrists, dispensing opticians, and optical businesses, alongside 13 other organisations, highlighting the importance of vaccination against transmissible diseases and the personal and professional responsibilities that healthcare professionals have under our Standards of Practice for Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians and Standards for Optical Businesses.
