GOC earns Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation

Following an extensive testing process, we have earned the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to managing our systems and data in a cyber secure manner.

To achieve this accreditation, GOC technology had to be tested over two stages:

  • The Cyber Essential stage: we completed a technical form to meet the qualifying security requirements. This means that we must adjust our security measures and controls to meet the requirements prior to submitting this form.
  • The Cyber Essential Plus stage: this involved many days of live testing by certified specialised testers where they tested:
  • The security of our users’ laptops, testing more than 20 laptops this year to ensure they are configured securely and protected.
  • The security of our IT infrastructure, including our backbone network, firewalls and servers.
  • The security of our applications and features.

Cyber Essentials is an effective, government-backed scheme that will help protect our organisation against a whole range of cyber-attacks. Cyber Essentials Plus ensures that we have the appropriate technical controls in place to protect against cyber security threats faced in the current landscape. As cyber security threats evolve constantly, these requirements and controls are reviewed periodically.

We remain committed to ensuring cyber security for everyone that uses our services.
