New issue of FtP FOCUS focuses on Fitness to Practise Committee

In the fifth issue of FtP Focus, our learning bulletin on the fitness to practise process, we conclude the FtP process with Fitness to Practise Committee (FtPC) hearings. 

We’ve included several interviews with some of our Hearings team, Legal team, and the Committee, where they talk you through their role during the hearings process. You’ll also read some tips from those involved on why it’s important to engage with the process and make sure that you have your voice heard if you are facing a FtPC hearing. 

In addition, we've explained the potential outcomes or sanctions that are available to the Committee and have provided a few case studies to show how this works in practice. 

We’ve also included some insights from professional bodies, including the Association for British Dispensing Opticians, FODO, and Association of Optometrists.
