Recruitment begins for CPD Provider Auditors and Registrant CPD Record Reviewers
We are seeking fully-qualified optometrists and dispensing opticians to become either a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider Auditor or Registrant CPD Record Reviewer.
Provider Auditors will make sure the learning that providers deliver to registrants is of good quality and meets the Standards for CPD providers.
Registrant Reviewers will ensure their fellow optometrists and dispensing opticians are keeping good-quality records of completed CPD, documenting meaningful reflections, and undertaking CPD which aligns with their professional needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in supporting the quality assurance process of our new CPD scheme and protect the public by promoting high standards.
We are looking for individuals who can make clear, well-reasoned, evidence-based decisions, and have experience of high-quality unbiased reporting. Understanding of the Standards of Practice for Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians and CPD within modern systems of healthcare will be essential.
Successful applicants will receive a fixed rate of £50 for each review or audit carried out and must be available during our key audit and review periods of April, June and October.
We are looking to recruit around three Provider Auditors who will each work approximately 60 hours per annum. For Registrant Reviewers, we are looking to recruit around 30 who will each work approximately 60-120 hours per annum.
The roles will be primarily based from home, but there may be occasional requirements to attend the office for the purposes of training and development.
The deadline for applications is 10am on 13 March 2023.
